About the area
Situated on the stunning World Heritage Coast in Dorset, Clayhanger Lodge is ideally situated to explore and discover this wonderful coastline. The property enjoys stunning sea views including Swannery Bay on The Fleet. The historic village of Abbotsbury is a short drive away and features three of the most popular tourist attractions in Dorset: Abbotsbury Sub-Tropical Gardens, Abbotsbury Swannery and The Children’s Farm and Tithe Barn. Local amenities include a village shop, two pubs and plenty of tea rooms, restaurants and shops.
Close by are the towns of Bridport (12 miles), Dorchester (9 miles) and Weymouth and Portland (10 miles), the latter being the host to the sailing events for the 2012 Olympics.
